昨晚是我們BB查經班爸爸們的聚會時間，弟兄們準備了讓自己身體有負擔，但可以讓心理很放鬆的美食鹽酥雞與啤酒，再加上由Duncan建議一部不錯看的電影＂勇氣＂，讓大家在一天的工作壓力下，可以放鬆心情與聯絡彼此感情。
電影的一開始並無太大的高潮起伏，當然也看不出好看的點在哪，但想說噹噹弟兄建議的電影應該不會太難看才對，大家只好強忍著睡意繼續看下去。沒想到，這部電影之後的劇情，讓所有弟兄的心情沉浸在感動、札心、緊張與溫暖的過程裏，好幾次強忍著太多的眼淚流出來。原來這是一部福音電影，讓大家料想不到的是福音電影也能上院線片，且後來查詢才知，這部電影曾登上北美票房榜的第四名。
這部電影描述著５個爸爸們被迫面對與自己的希望、恐懼與信念博鬥情況時，就掙扎過程中，如何做出自己的決定。
一個愛好面子的爸爸，因失去女兒而改變自己，不用恨意來面對神，而選擇將信念影響週邊爸爸好友們。放下自已，並從新帶領自己的家庭。不讓女兒的失去，而讓自己的生活變黑暗，選擇回憶與女兒共處的日子，讓神成為與女兒連結的橋樑。
一個家境貧窮但內心最富裕的爸爸，在面對失業壓力下選擇唯一的方法＿信靠神，來面對心中的苦境。在工作試探下仍持守神的信念，用堅定的信念與榜樣來帶領自己的家。
一個從小沒有父愛與家庭溫暖的爸爸，用自己的生命守護自己的兒子，用信念與信任來帶領自己的女兒。在與神的承諾下，放下內心恨意，期待未來在神的國度仍能與死去的父親見面。
一個早已信神的爸爸，因為在經濟壓力下，選擇欺騙朋友與忽略神的方式來做事，最後因此進入牢獄。
一個從不信神的爸爸，因著年少無知所犯的過錯而躲避面對過去，透過朋友的分享從新與神立約，放下過去面對從未媒面的二歲女兒，從新擔起自己是個父親的責任。
相信神，並不是讓生活從此更平順，而是我們可以透過神，鼓起身為爸爸的“勇氣”，面對生命中許多的壓力與挑戰，重視身為爸爸的責任，用神的信念與話語帶領家庭。如電影中最後出現的經文，『約書亞記24:15至於我和我家，我們必定事奉耶和華。』
以下附上電影中那５位父親在家人面前簽署的約定:
I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife and my children.
I WILL love them, protect them, serve them and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.
I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.
I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds and all of their strength.
I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.
I WILL confront evil, pursue justice and love mercy.
I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect and compassion.
I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.
I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.
I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.
I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word and do His will.
I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
